Sophie Denis, a French clairvoyant who came to Mallorca in 2006, does readings from her home in Palma. Her reputation is international, and she ‘sees’ in several languages, and ‘sees’ for 20 years. While some clairvoyants offer mass readings, this is not the style or method she practices. Sophie is a supporter of positive thought and psychology. “People always want to have a marvelous future. I try to give only the best. It is what has made my reputation.” She believes that the word clairvoyant has a negative connotation at present and feels best described as a ‘perceptive or medium’ – the one who makes the link between both worlds. Some motivations for people consulting with her include anxiety for a close relative, the need to be reassured, or to control a situation more. She says that of course there have been times where she has made a mistake. “Humility is necessary. The medium is not invested with all powers. We cannot see everything, solve everything. Donation rests on something so intangible, so insubstantial that it is necessary to be aware of borders and of danger which it implicates.” She believes that vision is not enough – intuition, psychology, respect and love are essential, and a poor clairvoyance can spoil a person.
